Building on the Right Foundation: Part 1 Week 1

eternal life

Day 1

John 1:11-13

What is the promise?

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.

What you must do!

It is simply to believe in who Jesus is, and what He did for you, and Receive Him into your Heart.

The Need to be important!

All around us we can see people that are "Driven to be Important."

We see athletes, politicians, movie stars, business men, CEO's, etc. They all work so hard trying to be important.

When you become a child of God, "You are Important."

In fact, nobody else can ever be more important than you!
You are a child of the Most High God!

What do you want?

Do you want to be a child of God?

Or do you want to continue as a lost person, in this terrible, sinful world?

Day 2

Matthew 10:32-33

What is the Promise?

If you confess Jesus before men, He will confess you before the Father! That is a great deal!

Why people do not confess Jesus in public.

It is simply because of unbelief, and the fear of man.

You must not fear man, or what man can do to you.

Fearing man causes people to do all kinds of evil things.

What do you want?

Do you want to trust Jesus to confess you, or deny you, before the Father who is in Heaven?

Day 3

John 3:5-7

What did Jesus say about being Born Again?

Unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

What did He Contrast!

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

What are we not to Marvel About?

Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’

Day 4

Acts 2:36-39

What can we Know Assuredly?

That God has made Jesus, both Lord and Christ.

If we Repent and are Baptized, what two things will We Receive?

The Remission of sins; and the gift of the Holy Spirit.

To whom is this Promise given?

The promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off.

Day 5

Romans 10:8-9

Where does it say the Word is?

The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach).

What two things does it say You Must do to Be Saved?

If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be Saved.

Day 6

Romans 10:10

What does Believing in Your Heart Do?

With the heart one believes unto righteousness.

What does Confessing Jesus with Your Mouth Do?

With the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Day 7

Mark 16:16

If you Believe and are Baptized, what will Happen to You?

You will Be Saved.

If you Do Not Believe, what will Happen to You?

You will be condemned.
